Plasma is the liquid portion of the blood containing critical clotting factors. Plasma can be used to treat patients with certain bleeding disorders, and for plasma exchanges. Plasma is usually taken from whole blood donations. Whole blood can be donated every 56 days. A plasma-only donation is rare at the Red Cross, but can it can be donated every 4 weeks.

DONOR SERVICES
Full-time (Irregular days and hours)

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Medical assistant or phlebotomy training, documented satisfactory performance as Donor Services Technician I or the equivalent experience is required.  Customer service experience, effective verbal communication and public relations skills are preferred.  A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
